The Hen & Chickens Guest House was one of Ludlow’s many 18th century Inns and was only converted 11 years ago.  The bedrooms are spread over the first and second floors and there is a large lounge and dining room on the ground floor. Most dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.

Secure off road parking is available through the gate to the side of the property.  If you travel by train or bus both stations are within 7 minutes walk, we will try and collect you if you inform us with several days notice.  There are many local taxi firms.

Access to the B&B is from the car park along a gravel drive, up three wide steps with handrail and through a secure door with keypad entry system. Upon entry we have a 8 metre corridor of level quarry tiles.

The bedrooms are accessed from the end of the corridor by a half winder staircase.  Due to the age of the building the stair riser heights are slightly uneven but all are securely covered by carpet.  Rails are provided on the right hand side with a smaller rail on the left which leads to the first floor landing and room 2.  Rooms 3 and 4 are accessed by a further narrower staircase, again with a good handrail on the right.  Please note that this is an old building and, particulary rooms 3 and 4, have uneven floors.  Apart from the ground floor corridor the staircases and rooms are all carpeted.  All ensuites have warm vinyl flooring which is soon to be replaced by modern antislip vinyl.  All ensuites and private bathrooms have showers which are raised by one step, room 2 by a 720mm door width and room 3 and 4 by a corner entry of approximately 600mm.
