We ask for payment of your first nights accommodation as deposit for your booking (except for group bookings - see below). This can be accepted by card over the telephone or by bank transfer. Please read our cancellation policy.
Min 2 night booking at weekends and peak times
Weekend bookings (Fri /Sat) are normally for a minimum of two nights throughout the year but single night booking may be available so please email or call us.
Where possible, we will try to accommodate your room preference. If you have a requirement for a ground floor room, please mention this at the time of booking.
Group bookings for three or more rooms The deposit will be 50% of your stay and we recommend you take out insurance in case of cancellations. Please read our cancellations policy.
Your booking deposit is non refundable. If you cannot make your visit please let us know at the earliest opportunity so that we can try to re-let the room.and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full. If we are able to re-let the booking, you will be no longer liable for the balance. In the event of guests deciding to cut short their stay, the full balance owing for the period booked will be payable. We recommend guests take out travel insurance.
Our car park has enough space for one car space per room booked. Guests are welcome to use our car park from 4pm on the day of their arrival. There is room for one car per room booked. If you need more than one space, please contact us so we can provide directions to the nearby long stay car park which is less than £3 per day.
Our Georgian building was built long before modern accessibility standards were developed. We have made adaptations wherever possible but cannot unfortunately accommodate people with some special special accessibility needs. If you are unable to walk unaided or require special lifting or other equipment please discuss this with this when enquiring about a room so that we can make sure your needs can be met.
Food allergies and intolerances
Please let us know at the time of booking, or at least 2 days before arrival of any special dietary requirements, food intolerance or allergies.
Non-availability of accommodation
In extreme circumstances beyond our control if your accommodation becomes unavailable, we will attempt to offer you alternative comparable accommodation. If this is not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we will refund all monies paid by you for the visit. Our liability does not extend beyond this refund.
Check in is 4.00pm to 7pm.
If you are arriving by train please mention your arrival time when booking. We may be able to store your luggage until check in with prior notice.
If you are delayed, please call us to let us know your expected time of arrival.
If you have not arrived or contacted us by 7.30pm we reserve the right to cancel your booking and reallocate your room.
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10.30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.
Smoking is not allowed in any part of the Guest House including vaping. If we believe guests have smoked they will be asked to leave, settle their booking in full and pay an additional £200 charge to cover cleaning and possible room move of the next guest.
Damages and Breakages
Accidents can happen. If you break or damage the property or contents we ask that you let us know at the first opportunity. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
We may let you know about events and offers a couple of times a year by email with your permission. If you prefer not to receive these you can unsubscribe at any time.
We never share your details with any third party.
